VENICE- Quick thinking by the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Division saved a life on the boardwalk Tuesday.
It happened around 9:00 p.m. near Market Street.
Police say officers were on foot patrol when they were flagged down.
Two officers observed a non-responsive male and determined he was suffering from an overdose, according to the LAPD.
The officers administered Narcan [ a medicine used for the treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose] and the man regained consciousness, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he is said to have made a full recovery.
