 VENICE  -1:26 p.m. Parts of Rose Avenue remain blocked off after a car-to-car shooting on Brooks Avenue, according to LAPD. 

   A man was killed and a woman was seriously wounded, authorities said.

  The shooting was reported at 2:36 a.m. at Sixth and Brooks avenues, according to Officer D. Orris of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victims, both in their 20s, were traveling in a vehicle when the suspect pulled up and fired multiple gunshots at them from another vehicle, Orris said.

   Officers arriving at the scene reported an overturned vehicle with two gunshot victims inside. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken by paramedics to a hospital where her vital signs were stable, Orris said.

   The suspect vehicle was described as a white, four-door sedan that left eastbound on Rose Avenue.

   Surveillance video showed the victims' vehicle crashing into a parked car after the shooting, overturning and landing on someone's front lawn.

   LAPD West Bureau homicide investigators urged anyone with information about the shooting to call them at 213-382-9470 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222- 8477.

The car then took off and turned over near Rose Avenue and Lincoln Blvd, according to LAPD.

   The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken by paramedics to a hospital where her vital signs were stable, he said.

 The suspect is at large.
