HOLLYWOOD - ``Don't Look Up'' was the most-watched English-language film on Netflix last week with ``The Unforgivable'' second after two first-place finishes, according to figures released today by the streaming service.
Viewers spent 111.03 million hours watching the comedy about an approaching comet that will destroy Earth in its first three days of release.
``The Unforgivable'' was second, with 26.6 million hours watched between Dec. 20 and Sunday after the Sandra Bullock-starring post-incarceration drama was watched for 85.86 million hours and 74.44 million hours the previous two weeks.
Joining ``Don't Look Up'' as films on the latest top 10 not in the previous week's was the 2019 action comedy ``Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,'' third for the week with 26.59 million hours watched.
Dropping out of the top 10 were the 2017 Christian drama ``The Shack'' and the 2019 neo-noir action thriller ``John Wick: Chapter 3 -- Parabellum'' which were fifth and seventh the previous week with 11.73 million hours and 8.79 million hours watched.
``Red Notice'' was seventh with 12.14 million hours watched, increasing the action comedy's record total to 397.06 million hours in its 45 days of release.
The second season of ``The Witcher'' topped the English-language television programs for the second consecutive week with 168.46 million hours watched of its eight episodes in their first full week of release, 18.3% more than the 142.43 million hours watched the previous week when it was available for three days.
The eight-episode first season of the fantasy drama was third with 60.67 million hours watched, 23.4% more than the 49.18 million hours watched the previous week when it finished second.
The 10-episode second season of ``Emily in Paris'' was second with 107.64 million hours in its first five days of release. The 10-episode first season of the romantic comedy was fourth with 18.04 million hours watched.
There were two other programs in the latest top 10 not in the previous week's besides the two seasons of ``Emily in Paris.''
The military documentary ``WWII in Color: Road to Victory'' was seventh with 9.51 million hours watched of its 10 episodes in their first five days of release.
The sixth season of the Canadian computer-animated children's television series ``PAW Patrol'' returned to the top 10 in eighth place after an absence of nine weeks with 9.36 million hours watched of its 26 episodes.
Dropping out of the top 10 were the first season of real estate series``Selling Tampa,'' the first season of the science fiction series ``Lost in Space,'' the first season of the superhero series ``Titans,'' which streams of HBO Max in the United States; and the nine-episode animated adventure, action and fantasy series ``Arcane.''
